In the first of this two-part series, our introductory class is designed to

provide students with the foundational knowledge and practices of

shamanism in preparation to delve deeper into the dynamics of

personal existence, our place in this world and the universal support

that surrounds all life.

Shamanic training is a journey of self-discovery. You’ll look within, confront your fears, and embrace your true self. You will learn about your place in the universe and engage with helping spirits and ancestors who offer deep wisdom, love, and knowledge that can be impactfully applied to modern life.

Energy Medicine

Shamanic training involves various healing practices, some dating back thousands of years, that go beyond simple physical ailments. You will learn how the energetic aspects of living beings affect their physical and psychological well-being and how to work with energy to achieve optimum balance between mind, body, and spirit.

Ancient Rituals and Ceremonies

ou’ll participate in and learn ancient rituals and ceremonies that have been practiced for centuries. You will experience the power of ceremony and its ability to alter the state and perception of the participants. Through these practices you will find new ways to connect you with the spiritual realm and the ancestors, providing insights and guidance that are otherwise unattainable.

Mindfulness and Presence

Shamans teach the importance of being present and mindful. You’ll learn to quiet your mind, focus on the present moment, and cultivate a sense of inner peace. This mindfulness can lead to greater clarity and a deeper understanding of yourself and the universe around you.

Community and Belonging

Shamanic training involves becoming part of a community. You’ll learn the value of a communal outlook, of sharing, and of supporting one another. This sense of belonging is the natural state of human beings but is often lost in our complex, modern lives.

In a world where the next new things always get the attention, the shamanic student finds peace, comfort, and support through the engagement with practices that predate modern civilization.
