Circle of the Foundation Membership Benefits

This page describes the benefits available to members of the Circle of the Foundation. Depending upon your membership you may receive some or all of these benefits. Please refer to the membership page for a list of our memberships.

All of our members receive The Shamanism Annual, a listing in its Voluntary Members Telephone Directory, the FSS bi-monthly E-Newsletter, and access to the members-only area of our website, the Members Circle, including the Members Forum.

The Shamanism Annual

The Shamanism Annual

The members scholarly journal will have a new look and full color in 2008 with more exciting pictures and graphics. The Shamanism Annual includes scholarly articles about shamanism and shamanic consciousness worldwide, and other valuable information not accessible through the bimonthly E-Newsletter or the website. The Shamanism Annual also includes news about Foundation activities and the Voluntary Members Telephone Directory (inclusion in the Directory is optional and during the membership purchase process you'll be given the option to be included or not). If you choose to be listed, your listing will appear in the 2008 Directory if you become a member by July 31, 2008; otherwise, your listing will appear in the 2009 Directory.

Members Circle

The Members Circle is the name of the members-only area on our website. In 2007 we launched the FSS Members Forum, a place for members to participate in online discussions about shamanism and connect with other members worldwide. The Forum also includes articles and information about the practice of shamanism and shamanic healing.

Through the Circle, members also have exclusive access to rare streaming audio from the FSS archives. Additional audio and video will be added periodically.

Login to the circle and use the "My FSS" feature to update contact information, edit a listing in the print Members Directory, and add or edit a Shamanic Services Listing or Members Bio.

Additional features planned for the Members Circle include:

  • Web audio conferences with Michael Harner, FSS faculty and special guests
  • Photo gallery from the FSS archives
  • Unique articles for members only

Members will be notified by email as new features become available.
